We are a Freediving school based in Tulum that specializes in cenote and ocean excursions. We believe that Freediving and mindfulness go hand in hand. By learning how to relax, and becoming more aware of the present moment we can enhance our freediving skills as well as learn how to handle situations in everyday life better and with a calmer mindset.
Quintana Roo offers some of the best diving in the world, from the coral reefs of the Caribbean sea to the crystal clear water of the many cenotes, there is a vast diversity in underwater landscapes to explore. The cenotes provide some of the best conditions for depth training and underwater photography.
We focus on small groups with personalized attention, whether you want to explore the underwater beauty that the region has to offer or you want to develop your skills by attending one of our AIDA Freediving courses we have the perfect package for you with customized dive programs including personal coaching and monthly packages.
Meet Our Team
In 2020 we suddenly found ourselves with more time on our hands and with a passion for Freediving we developed the concept to create a Freediving school that encompassed mindfulness, meditation, yoga and freediving . Serenity is the feeling that we get when we are freediving, we wanted to introduce people to the underwater world while sharing this feeling with others. We are in love with all the diving opportunities there are here in the cenotes and the Caribbean Sea, we are experts in Tulum's best dive sites.
Oscar
Freediving Instructor
Oscar is a Mexican national originally from Baja California. He has been instructing Freediving courses in the Quintana Roo region for over 3 years, he has also competed in local competitions such as the Azul Freediving Challenge. Oscar previously worked as a tour guide in the area and is extremely knowledgeable about local history and culture, including Mayan history and historical sites.
Jessica
Social Marketing, Brand Communications
Jessica first began scuba diving in 2016, quickly falling in love with the underwater world she moved to Playa Del Carmen in 2017 to work for a marine conservation organization. She started her Freediving journey by becoming AIDA certified in 2017. Jessica has a passion for underwater photography and photo editing, Jessica manages all of Serenity's online content and social media.
